A whole-house filter treats everything entering the building. A point-of-use system treats one tap, usually the kitchen sink, and costs less. Which makes sense depends on what you are trying to remove and where you want it removed.
Filtration and Softening Are Different
People often conflate the two. Softening deals with hardness minerals; filtration deals with taste, odor, sediment and contaminants. Some households want both, plumbed in the right order.

Filters are consumables. We will tell you the replacement interval for the system we install and can handle the changes if you would rather not.

Not on its own — hardness is a softener's job. We can advise on combining both if that is what your water needs.
